Every year millions of young holiday makers flood the shores of Ibiza in search of the worlds best nightlife. Most of them find it, a few are disappointed! In this post I’ll give an introduction to Ibiza club tickets, where and when you should buy them and how much they cost.
When to buy Ibiza club tickets
Ideally you don’t want to buy your club tickets too far in advance because your holiday plans may well change unexpectedly. For most Ibiza parties it is possible to either get tickets on the door or on the day of the party from ticket outlets in the main resorts like San Antonio or Playa D’en Bossa, from club reps at your Ibiza hotels or at the club itself.
It is however not uncommon for Ibiza club nights to sell out. Sometimes well in advance of the date of the party. Virtually all club nights with big name dj’s sell their tickets in advance online so it is possible to have all your tickets ready for when you arrive.
Some parties are more popular than others. For example any parties which fall around the radio 1 weekend in Ibiza tend to sell out, like the cream radio 1 party at privilege this year. If you suspect a parties going to sell out because it’s getting a lot of exposure or has a particularly awesome lineup or headline act it’s advisable to buy in advance. Ticket details can be found on the clubs websites or better still use the love Ibiza club tickets calendar to track down the cheapest tickets for your chosen parties.
Bare in mind July and august are the busiest months in Ibiza for clubbing and the closing parties which fall mostly in mid to late September are always really popular and often sell out of tickets in advance. Hotels and villas in Ibiza get really booked up around these dates as well so make sure you’re booking those well in advance too.
If no online ticket outlets have got tickets for the event left don’t despair entirely, it’s still worth going along to the event early as sometimes tickets are held back for the door or someone in the queue might have some spares you can buy.
How much do Ibiza club tickets cost?
Ibiza club tickets vary greatly in price as different promoters charge different entry fees depending on the popularity of the party and the acts they’ve booked. For example superstar dj’s like Tiesto can command a ticket price of €50 or more while smaller nights which aren’t yet well established on the Ibiza club scene will only charge around €20 and often give away free tickets to try and fill out their capacity.
How do online club tickets work
This varies slightly from club to club and booking agent to booking agent but usually when you buy your Ibiza club tickets online you’ll be emailed with an e-ticket which you will need to print off and take to the club. Additionally you’ll probably be asked to have the credit card used to make the booking with you (so no using mum’s card!). It’s a good idea to always carry your photo id with you when clubbing in Ibiza as well- this might also be asked for in addition to your e-ticket.
The benefit of booking club tickets in advance is the advance tickets queue is usually shorter than the tickets on the door queue. In high season Ibiza clubs can have longer queues than Disneyland so even if you save a few minutes it’s often worth it.
Multi-room venues
A word of warning, most big Ibiza clubs have more than one room and your ticket will probably be for general admission meaning you can move between rooms listening to the various dj’s playing in each. Occasionally when there’s a really popular dj on in one room (and a not so popular one in another!) the main room can get full and security will start a one in one out system. If there’s an act you desperately want to see on a popular night get into the right room early to avoid disappointment. This tends to be especially important in Privilege.
